Art Club - The Art of Mexico

Art Club

Last week was the first day of my after school art club.  This is my third time having an after school art club and I can proudly say each time I find myself a little more organized.

This time around my kiddos are going to learn about the Art of Mexico and create some amazing and fun projects.  So far they have started their Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) masks.  I can't wait to see how their masks turn out!

Supplies for the masks:

Plastic molds

Plaster strips

Water

Tempera Paint

Colored Sharpies

Fake Flowers

Pictures of Masks from Dia de Los Muertos

Newspaper (for the tables)

The first day students used the plaster strips (which I pre-cut) to create their mask.

*Masks need to dry over night
